This year’s Tykes on Trikes race is being held in Camborne on Sunday 13 September from 9am.
There are three categories – Tots on Trikes for those aged up to five years old, Tykes on Trikes for 6–10-year-olds and Twinkling Stars on Trikes for children who prefer a quieter, more gentle race experience.
Cornwall’s Fire and Rescue Service will be supporting the event with a fire engine in the Tyacks Hotel car park that children can look at (as long as it’s not called away to an emergency!)
Every competitor will be given a goodie bag and free face painting will be available from 8am.
Organised by BID Camborne and sponsored by the Tyacks Hotel, Fonehouse Camborne, Camborne Games, No 64 Bys Vyken Running and A Darn Good Yarn, Tykes on Trikes has become a popular annual event.
“This is its fifth year and we’re looking forward to another fun morning of kids’ cycling action,” said Anna Pascoe, BID Manager.
“Trelowarren Street will be closed from 8.30am to 1230pm whilst the racing takes place and every child competing needs to bring their own bike. Registration is free and simple – just email smile@cambornetown and we’ll send you a short form to complete.”
