Young cyclists from across Camborne got on their bikes for this year’s Tykes on Trikes races.

There was great excitement as competitors enjoyed free face painting and a chance to look at a fire engine, before donning their helmets and pedalling hard down Trelowarren Street in the centre of town.

Organised by the BID Camborne team, the event was brought forward by a month to make the most of more daylight.

“Parents fed back that the lighter morning and milder weather made a big difference,” said Anna Pascoe, BID Camborne Manager.

“There were a good number of entries, and everyone enjoyed themselves.

“We started Tykes on Trikes in 2021 to mark the Tour of Britain passing through Camborne that September and it’s been growing in popularity ever since.

“The help we get from our volunteers and sponsors is invaluable and I’d like to take this opportunity to thank them all on behalf of BID for their time and generosity.

“As always, Camborne’s close community spirit shone through.”

2026 sponsors included Tyacks Hotel, Fonehouse Camborne, Camborne Games, No 64 Bys Vyken Running, The Cornwall Bicycle CIC, Ekam and A Darn Good Yarn.
