With Christmas just around the corner, we’re looking forward to a fantastic festive programme of events that includes an action-packed Christmas Lights Switch-On Day on Friday 29th November.
BID Camborne has teamed up with Camborne Town Council and Camborne Parish Church to provide a full day of festivities for both visitors and locals alike to enjoy.
A variety of events and entertainment will be taking place throughout the day on Commercial Square in the run up to the big switch on. This will include the Camborne Produce Market from 9am-2pm, Camborne Town Band at 3pm, Holman Male Voice Choir at 4pm, stilt walkers at 4.45pm, the Children’s Lantern Parade at 5.30pm and A Camborne Christmas Carol amateur dramatics at 6.15pm.
The Churches Together Choir will also be performing at Camborne Church at 5pm before the church lights switch on.
Then it’s time for the main event! The town’s Christmas lights will be turned on at 6.30pm and our beautiful town Christmas tree – which has kindly been sponsored for the second consecutive year by Apollo Bingo – will be taking centre stage.
There will be free parking in both Rosewarne car parks all day, as well as on the weekends of 30th November – Sunday 1st December, 7th – 8th, 14th – 15th and 21st – 22nd December, between 4pm on Friday and 9am on Monday.
The Christmas fun doesn’t stop there! Don’t miss the chance to visit Santa’s Grotto which will be based at Camborne Library this year. Santa is looking forward to welcoming visitors from 10am-1pm on Saturday 7th, 14th and 21st December.
Organised and funded by BID Camborne businesses with support from Camborne Town Council, Christmas in Camborne 2019 promises fun, festivity and an abundance of good cheer!
