With the countdown to Christmas well underway, the festive spirit is in full swing around the town with a variety of fantastic events and activities to enjoy. Here are just some of the things you can look forward to this December:
Camborne Christmas Market – 20th December
Running between 9am – 2pm at Commercial Square, this festive produce market will be selling local produce, crafts and festive goodies. The perfect place for some Christmas shopping.
Bauble Making Craft Activity – 20th December
Good for the whole family, head over to Camborne Library between 9am – 5pm on 13th and 20th December to learn how to create handmade decorations for your Christmas tree. All materials will be provided so why not drop in for some festive fun?
Live Music at Tyacks Hotel – 13th & 20th December
Kick your weekends off in style with some brilliant live music. On 13th December ‘Not The Beatles’ will be taking to the stage, whilst the 20th will see ‘Three Minute Warning’ perform at 9pm.
Carols in the Courtyard – 14th December
A great way to get into the festive spirit, local groups will be performing between 10am – 1pm at Camborne Library. The event is a thank you to the community for supporting the library service over the past year and will be well worth a visit.
Christmas Carols Singalong – 14th December
Ready to get those vocal cords working? All are welcome to head over to Camborne Parish Church at 7pm on Saturday 14th December for a festive evening of Christmas carols that everyone can enjoy singing along to.
CD Kids Nativity – 14th December
An evening of entertainment also awaits at the Centenary Church where the fantastic CD Kids drama group will be performing their annual nativity at 7.30pm.
Christmas Party Afternoon – 15th December
Don’t miss an afternoon of festive fun at Apollo Bingo with entertainment from Radio Cornwall’s Freddy Zapp, a free Christmas lunch and of course, plenty of bingo! Doors will open at 11am.
Carolaire of Cornish Carols – 15th December
The perfect start to a truly Cornish Christmas, head along to Troon Methodist Church at 6pm on 15th December for an evening of Cornish Carols.
Rhymetime Christmas Special and Festive Lego Club – 18th December
Both events are free to attend at Camborne Library and will have a Christmassy twist! Rhymetime is suitable for children under the age of 5 and will start at 10.30am, whilst kids over 5 will love to join the Lego Club which kicks off at 3.30pm.
Festive Stained-Glass Workshop – 21st December
One for those feeling creative! Don’t miss the chance to attend this fantastic Christmas stained-glass workshop at Synergy. Costing £25, the event will run between 1.30pm – 4pm with all supplies provided. Simply book your place by calling 01209 719394.
Rudis Message – 24th December
Finally, kick starting the festivities in style, Cornwall’s best Ska band, Rudis Message, will be performing at Tyacks Hotel from 3pm on Christmas Eve.
