BID Camborne 4th Term

Since 2012, BID Camborne has successfully delivered projects and services that businesses identified as priorities.

Take a look at what we have achieved together over the past 5 year term here – BID Camborne Projects

BID Camborne would like to thank all businesses and other partners in the town for the time and support they have given over the past five years which have enabled these initiatives to be successfully delivered.

BID Camborne Fourth Term 2027-2032

Under BID legislation, BID Camborne can renew for a further five years from 2027 – 2032 subject to a new business plan being published and a ballot being held.

Positive feedback from businesses through our early survey launched in April 2026 and our main consultation in July/August 2026 indicates that there is an appetite for the BID to continue. To see a copy of our main consultation document, click here

We have used this valuable feedback to prepare our fourth term BID Camborne business plan which is available to download here.

We have listened to what you have told us so do hope that what you read resonates with you.

All eligible levy payers within the BID boundary will have the opportunity to receive either a digital copy or hard copy of the business plan from Mid-October 2026.

The notice of ballot will be issued on Monday 26th October 2026 with ballot papers sent out on Monday 9th November 2026 for the minimum 28-day ballot. All votes must be received by Cornwall Council (the organisation who will independently run the ballot) on or before Thursday 10th December 2026 at 5pm. The person entitled to vote may appoint someone else to vote on his or her behalf (a proxy).

We hope that businesses will be minded to vote YES to BID Camborne continuing for a fourth term. That will enable businesses to work together to ensure our town remains vibrant, clean, attractive and safe. Please remember that a ‘No’ vote will mean that all of BID Camborne’s projects and services currently delivered as well as those proposed in our new business plan will end and it is highly unlikely in the current climate that any other organisation will pick up the shortfall.

If you do have any questions about the BID do drop us a line on smile@cambornetown.com  and we can arrange a time to pop around or speak over the phone if you prefer. Telephone Anna Pascoe on 07445 366412. Thank you for your contribution and for being part of Camborne’s community.

Baseline – Services provided by statutory organisations within Camborne that have a correlation to the projects that the BID will deliver have been documented and can be downloaded here.  The purpose of this it to ensure that BID Camborne is adding value to current service provision and supporting businesses rather than replacing or duplicating existing services.

An agreement in principle, subject to a successful ‘yes’ vote, has been reached with Cornwall Council, Camborne Town Council and Devon and Cornwall Police that these baselines will be reviewed each year.
